Dragusin add-ons easy to achieve

Romano shared what he knows about the Dragusin deal.

“It was an important proposal because Tottenham were offering Djed Spence as a part of the deal and some add-ons as a part of the package. Bayern went with a cash proposal, which was around €30/31m guaranteed for Genoa for Radu Dragusin. During the night Tottenham tried again to change the payment terms to make it easier for Genoa and Radu Dragusin for the add-ons and his salary and they got the final greenlight in the morning. It will be a €25m with €5m in very easy add-ons, so it’s almost guaranteed €30m for Genoa with Djed Spence on loan with a buy option,” Romano said.

Better deal

Genoa made the right choice in taking the Tottenham offer here.

With the add-ons being so easy, this deal is basically worth the same as Bayern Munich’s in terms of cash anyway, while there’s also the bonus of Spurs sending Djed Spence their way on loan as well.

Genoa had a better offer on the table for Tottenham, and they made the right choice in selling the Romanian to the north London club rather than Bayern Munich.

Whether or not Dragusin proves to be a success at Spurs remains to be seen, but, by the sounds of it, the add-ons in this deal will be very quickly triggered.
