Fabrizio Romano shares what could happen with Mathys Tel amid Arsenal links

At the age of just 19, Mathys Tel has a huge decision to make on his future in the coming days.

Indeed, the teenager is barely out of school, but now he needs to make a huge call on his career as he decides between a number of the biggest clubs in world football.

Tel is currently at Bayern Munich, but he also has many top teams in the Premier League courting him.

Indeed, Tottenham wanted Mathys Tel, but the striker has rejected Spurs, while Arsenal are also keen on Tel.

Arsenal need a new striker. Arsenal bid for Ollie Watkins this week, but after that move failed, they could ultimately end up going for Tel.

Speaking on his YouTube channel, Fabrizio Romano has been discussing the young striker’s situation, and what could happen with the forward before the end of the transfer window.

What could happen with Mathys Tel

Romano shared what he knows about Tel.

The journalist says that there’s a chance that Tel does end up staying at Bayern Munich this month.

However, if Tel is to leave Bayern, he may well move on loan with his new club holding an option to buy.

“There is a possibility for Mathys Tel to continue at Bayern, but my information at this time is that Mathys Tel is still assessing all of his options. Especially for a loan with an option to buy, that is still a possibility,” Romano said.

“Instead of going on loan with an obligation to buy, so a permanent transfer to Tottenham, Mathys Tel could be open to a loan with an option to buy. Man United are very interested in this formula, let’s see if Arsenal decide to enter too.”

Which team should Mathys Tel join?

Tel has a number of options at the moment, and when you have such a difficult choice to make at such a young age, it can be overwhelming.

So, which team should Tel sign for?

Arsenal, Chelsea, Aston Villa and Manchester United appear to be his main options at the moment, and there are pros and cons around each of those moves.
