Fabrizio Romano shares next step for Federico Chiesa after landing in Liverpool
Liverpool are set for a busy end to the summer transfer window as they look to add the finishing touches to their squad.
The Reds have officially got one signing over the line, Giorgi Mamardashvili going on the Anfield club’s books earlier this week.
Mamardashvili won’t be linking up with Liverpool until next year, but the Reds are now looking to get another deal over the line for this summer.
Liverpool are said to be making great progress in pursuit of Federico Chiesa, with Fabrizio Romano declaring “here we go” earlier on Wednesday.
Now, Romano has taken to X with a travel update on Chiesa and what the next steps will be for the Italy international.

Federico Chiesa now in Liverpool ahead of medical
The transfer insider has reported that Chiesa is now on English soil, having landed in Liverpool after flying from Italy.
The next step for Chiesa and Liverpool will be for him to undergo the first part of his medical, which is scheduled for today.
Liverpool and Juve have already prepared all the documents for his proposed €15million (£12.5million) move to Anfield, which are set to be signed in the next 24 hours.
What Liverpool fans can expect from Federico Chiesa
Chiesa has made 131 appearances for Juventus, grabbing 34 goals and 25 assists, and has also won 51 caps for Italy, scoring seven times.
Now, at 26 years of age, the ‘‘ talent is entering his prime and, with Juve eager to offload him, the opportunity is right for Liverpool to swoop in.
In terms of what Reds fans could expect from Chiesa, wrote in 2020: “His strongest attributes are explosive speed allied with promising dribbling skills which he utilises fairly well when facing up defenders to burst past them on either side.
“He’s not a traditional winger tasked with launching crosses into the box; when he does beat his man, his preference is to vary his delivery into the box by attempting cut-backs or through balls into dangerous areas.
“You would be forgiven for thinking he was taller than his recorded height of 5’9″ too. He’s a powerful athlete able to use this physique and pace to create a number of problems for defences.”
