Fabrizio Romano shares Khvicha Kvaratskhelia transfer update as Antonio Conte confirms he can leave Napoli

Liverpool are just one of the clubs that have been linked with Napoli star Khvicha Kvaratskhelia this month.

David Ornstein recently reported that Liverpool were open to making a move fo💞r 🥃the Georgian star in case he became available.

Now, Kvaratskhelia has indeed become available, with Antonio Conte confirming that the Napoli🅰 ace is set to leave the Serie A ♉club this month.

“He asked the club to b😼e sold, without mincing his words,” Conte said, as per . “This is what was said to me, the player has confirmed his decision to me.”

Fabrizio Romano has nಞow provided an update on the Kvaratskhelia situation in wake of the Napoli head coach’s bombshell.

Paris Saint-Germain ‘clear favourites’ for Khvicha Kvaratskhelia ahead of Liverpool and other suitors

Romano, speaking on his YouTube channel♛, claimed that Paris Saint-Germain are now “clear favourites” for Kvaratskhelia – ahead of Liverpool and other suitors.

He also play𝓰ed down reports of a potential swap deal involving Kvarats𒊎khelia and Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford.

And while the race isn’t over yet, Romano added that PSG are in direct talks with Napoli and have reaꦚched an agreement with the player’s agent.

“At the moment it’s not a done deal, but PSG are the clear favourites,” sai💦d Romano.

“We heard of a swap deal, Napoli Man United for Rashfor🐬d… Napoli are not in the mix for Marcus Rashford.

“We heard of other clubs in England, it’s obvious for many clubs to call and ask for the situation of Kvaratskhelia when they saw the news of (him) being available on tꦰhe market.

“But from what I’m told PSG remain 🌠the favourites. They reached an agreement with the agent of the player on the salary.

“The salary will be foꦺur, five times better than the current salary offered by Napoli, so imagine how higher it will be.

“It’s also important to mention that PSG are the only club as of today – Saturday – in direct n🐠egotiations with Napoli for Kvaratskhelia.

“So the negotiation is ongoing, it’s advanced between Napoli and PSG. Early next week, Napoli and PSG will t🦩alk and try to close the deal – Napoli want €80million (£67million).”

Liverpool’s firepower

TBR Football sources have confirmed that, while Liverpool like Kvaratskhel🏅ia, they’ve cooled their i❀nterest in wake of PSG’s efforts to try and sign him – al𓆉though it’s said things may yet change.

And while the Reds have made a name for themselves when it comes to making the most of transf🃏er opportunities that arise, it looks as though PSG simply want him more.

In fairness, if there’s one area in Liverpool’s squad that they don’t currentℱly need to strengthen, it’s their front line, which boasts a number of superb players.

Indeed, Federico Chiesa is now off the mark at Liverpool too,𒀰 having scored against Accrington Stanley in the FA Cup, so it’ll be interesting to see how he kicks on from his debut Reds goal.
