Fabrizio Romano shares fresh Spurs transfer update after Timo Werner signing
Tottenham Hotspur have hit the ground running in the January transfer window, with the signing of Timo Werner officially over the line.
On Tuesday evening, Spurs announced the of the Germany international on an initial loan from RB Leipzig until the end of the season.
Tottenham have the option to make the signing of Werner permanent in the summer, added the club’s official website.
Now, Spurs will hope to follow the Werner signing with that of Radu Dragusin, but this one isn’t proving quite as straightforward.

Tottenham are up against Bayern Munich in pursuit of the Genoa and Romania international. Both clubs have bid for the player.
Fabrizio Romano took to to claim that Dragusin will have to decide his future “in the next hours”, with Genoa set to accept both bids.
The transfer insider says Tottenham have bid €25million plus €5million in add-ons for the 21-year-old, in addition to Djed Spence going to the Italian side on loan.
Meanwhile, Bayern have bid a “bit more than €30million” for Dragusin, and Tottenham hope that Dragusin will agree personal terms, added Romano.
Tottenham must now wait for Radu Dragusin decision
Tottenham will be pleased to have got the signing of Werner over the line. A new centre-forward – who can also play on the flanks – is a welcome addition in terms of firepower.
Now, the signing of a new central defender is the priority for Spurs. Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven have been superb as a centre-half pairing, but beyond that, there’s not much strength in depth.
Without them, Tottenham’s defence has looked more vulnerable and less assured. With that in mind, it’s important that Spurs bring someone else in, and they’re certainly working to do so.
Dragusin is an outstanding talent, and he would be a great shout for Tottenham. However, with Bayern also in pursuit, it’s a tricky choice for the player. Let’s see what happens in the next few hours.
