Fabrizio Romano shares exactly where Arsenal and Bologna are when it comes to Riccardo Calafiori
Riccardo Calafiori to Arsenal seems to be inching towards getting done and Fabrizio Romano has just dropped a fresh update on the situation.
Calafiori to the Gunners seems to be dominant transfer story in England right now and all roads seem to be leading to Arsenal getting this one done.
Indeed, Romano himself has said earlier today that the deal is expected to be advanced this coming week.
However, nothing has been signed or sealed just yet and until it is, Arsenal fans will be keen to know exactly what is going on with the deal.
Luckily for Arsenal fans, Romano has been on hand again discussing Calafiori and has explained that right now, it seems to be a matter of payment details.

Fabrizio Romano reveals what’s holding up Riccardo Calafiori to Arsenal
Speaking on his channel about exactly where the Calafiori to Arsenal deal is, Romano explained that the finer details are now being ironed out.
“Arsenal want to close and complete the deal for Riccardo Calafiori next week,” Romano said.
“So what’s going on? Arsenal and Bologna have understood that the fee is going to be around 50m Euros but now they need to clarify the structure of the deal. How much is fixed, how much is add-ons. How are they going to pay it, how many years. So they’re discussing all these type of details.
“Entering into a new week, Arsenal and Bologna are trying to get an agreement on these details. We know the player has already said yes.”
Calafiori is believed to have impressed Mikel Arteta in terms of the metrics he meets and also his performances last season and in the Euros with Italy.
The Italian defender was part of an Azzurri side who failed in the main but Calafiori did manage to catch the eye with his ability to bring the ball out of defence.
Calafiori’s arrival is likely to signal the end of Jakub Kiwior’s time at Arsenal.
The Polish defender is expected to be allowed to leave, with clubs in Italy keen on doing a loan deal for the £20m signing.
