Fabrizio Romano shares encouraging Tottenham transfer claim with Federico Chiesa reportedly keen to sign

Tottenham Hotspur are still waiting to see Daniel Levy provide his manager with the first big signing of the summer.

There is a lot of excitement surrounding the addition of Archie Gray who is already looking like he could be a really useful option for Tottenham this season.

However, Ange Postecoglou is yet to see any other player brought in permanently this summer in north London.

Spurs have now travelled to Japan for the first stint of their pre-season tour of Asia and the club are unable to boast any attacking summer signings.

Things can quickly change in the transfer window and Postecoglou hinted on Friday the likes of Eberechi Eze were still being targeted.

Fabrizio Romano has now provided an update from north London and it is one which may please a lot of Tottenham fans.

Tottenham ready to bring in new attackers

It has to be mentioned, Spurs have also brought back Timo Werner for the 2024/25 campaign on another loan deal.

But a lot of Spurs fans will not consider him a new signing considering he was at the club last season.

However, Tottenham are closing in on the signing of winger Yang Min-hyuk from Gangwon FC, but he would not arrive until January 2025.

Despite this, there still remain a number of potential summer targets on Tottenham’s list with the season kicking off in just a few weeks.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has now insisted that fans can expect movement from the north London club soon in the market.

“Tottenham are exploring the market and are exploring several possibilities at the moment. Still, no name is imminent, but there is interest in several players, like Eze at Crystal Palace and Pedro Neto at Wolves, who has many admirers in the Premier League,” he told .

“Tottenham want to do something in the offensive positions and I think it could be soon because their idea is to add one more player for Ange Postecoglou.”

Federico Chiesa also on Tottenham’s radar

As Romano said, Tottenham have an interest in Eberechi Eze this summer and Spurs also appreciate Pedro Neto.

But the pair are claimed to potentially be worth around £120m between them.

Tottenham are also said to be eyeing a potential swoop for Juventus winger Federico Chiesa with his contract winding down in Turin.

It has even been mooted in Italy that Chiesa has already chosen to join Spurs.

The Italy international is a player who would cost a fraction of the two Premier League players given his contractual situation.

New manager Thiago Motta has already made Chiesa train alone at Juventus with his future looking to be away from the club.

It will now be interesting to see which avenue Tottenham go down this summer.
