Fabrizio Romano shares Alexander Isak update that should really excite Liverpool fans
Liverpool have been incredibly busy already in this summer transfer window.
The Reds have already made three blockbuster signings in the shape of Jeremie Frimpong, Milos Kerkez and the British-record transfer of Florian Wirtz.
Remarkably, Liverpool could now be set to put the cherry on the cake with an even bigger signing.
Indeed, the Reds are in for Alexander Isak, and according to Fabrizio Romano, speaking on his YouTube channel, this deal could well be headed in the right direction.
The journalist says that Alexander Isak is open to this move and he hasn’t closed the door to making this move to Anfield after the Reds’ initial approach.

Alexander Isak open to joining Liverpool
Romano shared what he’s been told about Isak after Liverpool made their move.
According to the journalist, Isak hasn’t closed the doors on a move to Anfield, claiming that he is indeed open to a Merseyside switch.
“What I’m told is also that the player didn’t close the doors to Liverpool. So the player didn’t stop Liverpool from doing that,” Romano said.
“The player is still in conversations with Newcastle because they want to offer him a new contract. We know that. So, Newcastle really hope to advance on that one. But the player didn’t stop Liverpool.
“The player didn’t say no to Liverpool. The player seems to be open to the move. So, it’s now in Newcastle hands. They have the opportunity to confirm their stance as they always did in the recent years because last summer was quite a similar situation with other clubs.”
Alexander Isak record vs Liverpool
Liverpool are making their move for Isak, and it’s not hard to understand why the Reds are so keen on the Swedish striker.
Isak is the best striker in the world according to some, and he’s showcased his brilliance against Liverpool on numerous occasions in the past.
Isak hasn’t managed to win many games against the Reds, but he does have a solid goalscoring record.
