Fabrizio Romano says West Ham are still looking at ‘incredible’ signing after getting Max Kilman

West Ham have added to their defensive ranks this summer with the signing of Max Kilman from Wolves.

The Englishman re-united with Julen Lopetegui earlier this month to add a bit more quality to the Hammers’ backline.

Kilman is a much-needed addition to the West Ham defence, and, interestingly, the east London club may not be finished just yet.

Indeed, according to Fabrizio Romano, speaking on , West Ham are still keeping an eye on the situation of Jean-Clair Todibo despite signing Kilman.

West Ham still looking at Jean-Clair Todibo

Romano shared what he knows about the ‘incredible’ defender.

“Now Todibo is available on the market. West Ham had a bid rejected for €35m, and they signed Max Kilman, but they keep monitoring the situation of Todibo, Juventus have strong interest in Jean-Clair Todibo,” Romano said.

Todibo and Kilman could be quality

West Ham could have a completely new-look defensive partnership next season, and they could make for a brilliant pairing.

Indeed, both Kilman and Todibo have bags of potential, and if they can click as they should, they will be brilliant.

Not only are both players defensively proficient leaders, they’re also fantastic on the ball, and that will also help West Ham in terms of building their attacks.

West Ham already have some incredible attacking talents in the shape of Jarrod Bowen and Mohammed Kudus, and strengthening their defence should allow the Hammers to climb the table next season.

Of course, there’s still plenty of work to be done at the London Stadium if West Ham are to reach the heights they’d like to hit.

If West Ham line up next season with Todibo and Kilman as their first-choice centre-back partnership they will have solid building blocks in place to go on and perhaps challenge for a top six finish once again.
