Fabrizio Romano says there will be a ‘significant’ exit update out of Arsenal over the next few days

Arsenal have been one of the quietest clubs in the transfer market this summer with the Gunners only bringing in one new face.

Mikel Arteta has, however, seen a number of players depart north London ahead of the new season starting this weekend.

Emile Smith Rowe has been the most noteworthy exit at Arsenal with the midfielder making the move to Fulham in recent weeks.

In fact, Smith Rowe is actually the only player to be sold this summer by Arsenal with the other departures coming as free transfers.

But there are still two weeks for the Gunners to sanction further sales as Edu Gaspar also works on adding to the signing of Calafiori.

And Fabrizio Romano has now provided an interesting update on what could potentially happen over the coming days at the Emirates.

Fabrizio Romano shares ‘significant’ Arsenal transfer update

The north London side are still working hard to provide Arteta with some further new recruits for the new campaign.

Arsenal are now lining up their next bid for Mikel Merino over the coming days having seen their first attempt rejected by Real Sociedad.

But there are likely going to be players heading for the exit doors with Arsenal also looking to bring some funds into the club.

There have been a number of players who have been linked with a potential exit from Arsenal and Romano has now said there could be significant updates over the coming days.

“On Arsenal exits, there is no significant update yet, but there will be in the next days,” he said in his .

“For now, Reiss Nelson is probably too expensive for Leicester, while Eddie Nketiah remains on Bournemouth’s list but terms of the deal are still not agreed.”

Arsenal have just received big Eddie Nketiah blow

Eddie Nketiah is one of the players who is looking for a new club this summer having struggled to really make an impression on Arteta.

Arsenal were in talks with Marseille over a move for Nketiah with bids having been knocked back by the Gunners.

With the Ligue 1 side dropping out, it appeared a move to Bournemouth could have been on the cards following Dominic Solanke’s move to the other side of north London.

However, Bournemouth are now closing in on the big money signing of Evanilson to replace the now-Tottenham striker.

This has, undoubtedly, come as a serious blow to Arsenal.
