Fabrizio Romano says path now clear for ‘outstanding’ Arsenal player to leave
Arsenal are currently busy on the outgoing transfer front, with two players in line to leave the Emirates Stadium in the coming days.
The Gunners are in the process of revamping their squad ahead of next season, where they’ll hope to go all the way in the Premier League title race.
Signings should be on the cards, with Arsenal said to be in talks with Bologna over defender Riccardo Calafiori.
There’s also scope for the Gunners to bolster their midfield and attack, but it looks as though they’re keen on getting players out the door first.
For instance, Arsenal midfielder Albert Sambi Lokonga is said to be nearing a loan switch to Sevilla with option to buy.
Nuno Tavares is also on the verge of a permanent move away from N5, with Fabrizio Romano now giving an update on the state of play.

Nuno Tavares set to leave Arsenal for Lazio this weekend
The transfer insider has taken to X this morning to claim that Tavares will be completing his move to Lazio this weekend.
Arsenal have approved all documentation for his initial loan, which will turn into a permanent signing via a mandatory buy clause.
There is also a sell-on clause in the deal, added Romano, and Tavares will pen a deal until June 2029 if all goes well.
Fresh start on the cards for Tavares
Arsenal signed Tavares back in 2021 and he looked like a top talent with a bright future ahead of him at N5.
However, while he has shown glimpses of quality and potential, sadly it hasn’t worked out for him at the Emirates Stadium.
That said, Tavares clearly has talent, and Arsenal seemingly feel he can go on to impress in the game, as per his sell-on clause.
Igor Tudor – who managed Tavares at Marseille – sung the player’s praises in 2023 and suggested that he can really go far.
He said: “Nuno’s still a young player but he has fantastic physical capabilities. He’s got an outstanding ability to run.
“He could play at Real, at Barcelona, at Man City… he still needs to grow and progress, we talk a lot to him.”
