Fabrizio Romano says ‘outstanding’ West Ham target has joined Hammers

West Ham United fans have an exciting weekend on the cards, with multiple players potentially signing for the Hammers soon.

The Hammers went into August having already completed three signings in Luis Guilherme, Wes Foderingham and Max Kilman.

However, over the past few days, West Ham have been spinning several plates, and they are all nearing completion.

Indeed, one of these deals is now said to be over the line, with Fabrizio Romano reporting that the player in question has just signed his Hammers contract.

Crysencio Summerville signs West Ham contract

The player in question is Crysencio Summerville, and Romano has taken to X to say the Dutchman has penned a deal until 2029 with a year’s option.

Summerville will be joining West Ham from Championship side Leeds United, where he has gone from strength to strength over the past 12 months.

One down, two (maybe even three) to go

A few days ago, Dharmesh Sheth claimed that Summerville had completed the first part of his West Ham medical on Thursday evening, and it was set to be concluded on Friday morning.

Now, it looks like the deal is over the line, and it looks as though it’s only a matter of time before the Hammers drop the all-important official announcement.

Summerville – who will reportedly cost West Ham £25million with add-ons – is a top-quality player who has clearly shown that he’s too good for the second tier.

The “outstanding” talent – in Daniel Farke’s words – really came to the fore last season, with 21 goals and 10 assists from 49 outings in all competitions.

Meanwhile, West Ham’s board looks like they’re eager to give new manager Julen Lopetegui all the tools he needs to hit the ground running in his new role.

With Summerville now over the line – as per reports – Hammers fans will now be eagerly awaiting news on Niclas Fullkrug, Guido Rodriguez, and potentially Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
