Fabrizio Romano says Liverpool’s board really rate ‘very talented’ £60m player
Liverpool are looking for a new centre-back this summer.
The Reds have been linked with a number of options from Goncalo Inacio to Leny Yoro, and now, there’s an option in the Bundesliga the Merseyside club are assessing.
Indeed, Mohamed Simakan is said to be someone Liverpool are keen on, and according to Fabrizio Romano, , the French defender is appreciated by Liverpool at boardroom level.
Indeed, Romano says that the people in charge at Liverpool really like Simakan, believing that he is a very talented player.

Liverpool board really like Mohamed Simakan
Romano shared what he knows about Liverpool and the £60m man.
“Simakan and Liverpool? This is a rumour we had today from Liverpool. What I can say is that Liverpool people in charge, people in the board of Liverpool have been tracking and know very well Mo Simakan,” Romano said.
“They have been following the player and believe he’s a very talented player. I can confirm he is one of many centre-backs they have been tracking.”
Simakan would be brilliant in the Premier League
Simakan is a very talented player, and there’s reason to believe that he’d be brilliant in the Premier League.
There’s a reason that Tottenham and Arsenal have both been linked with the RB Leipzig defender in the past.
Defenders from the Red Bull stable of clubs often perform well in the Premier League due to the intensity that brand of coaching brings – Ibrahima Konate is perhaps the prime example of this.
With a , Simakan wouldn’t be a cheap addition at Anfield, but if the new-look recruitment team at Anfield think he would be a good fit, there’s reason to believe this would be a worthwhile signing.
Simakan to Liverpool is certainly one to watch in the coming weeks as the Reds look to get defensive reinforcements through the door.
