Fabrizio Romano says Liverpool ‘undecided’ on future of Ozan Kabak

Respected journalist, Fabrizio Romano, has issued an update on the future of Liverpool loanee Ozan Kabak, as Reds fans questioned whether Kabak would still be signed.

The questions from Liverpool fans come in the midst of In that, he said Liverpool are close to signing Ibrahima Konate from RB Leipzig, with a £30.5m deal said to be all but done.

But while the signing of Konate will go down well with Reds fans, some were left wondering what the future might hold for Kabak. In response to those questions, issued a quick and blunt response.

Kabak has slowly grown into his role with the Reds and they could reportedly sign him for around £18m. He joined in January, along with Ben Davies, to help ease the Reds’ defensive crisis.

Since then, the Turkish star has impressed. However, the signing of Konate will leave Liverpool with more than enough central defenders. It means, in reality, they may not actually need to move to sign Kabak afterall.

Signing Konate should be enough for Liverpool here. The return of Gomez, Matip, and Van Dijk will also help, while Nat Phillips has shown himself a more than capable deputy when needed.

Sadly for Kabak, he’ll probably end up back in Germany and seeking a summer move himself.

He’s not done anything wrong, but with the Reds splashing £30m on Konate, there’s not much need to go out and spend another £18m on someone who won’t be a regular anyway.
