Fabrizio Romano says Liverpool star is ‘one to watch’ with two Premier League clubs interested

Joe Gomez is ‘one to watch’ ahead of deadline day

Liverpool value Gomez at around £30m, and 📖the 27-year-old has attracted a lot of interest from the Premier League.

Chelsea, Newcastle and Aston Villa have shown interest in Gomez, but there is also a chanceꦛ that he could stay put at Anfield to work under new manager Arne Slot.

Fabrizio Romano has now shared an update via on Gomez’s future and suggested that there are two other Premier League clubs keeping an eye on a🌳 potential deal.

“There is still no update so far on the future of Joe Gomez. Interest from many clubs like Crystal Palace, Fulham and more remains, but there is nothing🎃 concrete yet on cluღb-to-club talks or with an official bid.

“It remains one to watch but Gomez could also end up staying at Liverpool,”

Liverpool would need a Joe Gomez replacement

With Joel Matip leaving as a free agent and Sepp van den Berg sold to Brentford for £30milliܫon, Liverpool run the risk of leaꦇving themselves short of centre-back options.

Virgil van Dijk and Ibrahima Konate appear to be Slot’s favoღured pairing at the b☂ack, and they have Jarell Quansah as back-up, but any injuries would Liverpool extremely thin.

If Gomez is ꦚsold in the final days of the window, Liverpool would certainly need to dip into the market to replace him wit♛h a new centre-back.
