Fabrizio Romano says Everton now actively working on deal for ‘extraordinary’ striker
Everton have been linked with Blackburn’s Ben Brereton Diaz in recent days.
Last week, the likes of wrote about the Toffees and their apparent interest in the Chile international.
With Dominic Calvert-Lewin on the sidelines and Richarlison no longer at Everton, Frank Lampard is looking for reinforcements.

And according to Fabrizio Romano, the Blues are now actively working on a deal for Brereton Diaz.
The transfer insider took to Twitter with an update on Everton’s pursuit of two players.
As well as Brereton Diaz, the Toffees are apparently showing interest in Manchester United midfielder James Garner.
With regards to Garner, he’s apparently expected to leave Old Trafford in the next few days.
At this moment in time, no agreement or decision has been made.
And as for Brereton Diaz, “Lampard has to decide if he wants him or not”, added Romano.
Brereton Diaz is reportedly on the Goodison Park side’s radar following a superb season with Blackburn last time out.
The 23-year-old registered an impressive and three assists from 37 Championship outings in 2021-22.
Last season, Tony Mowbray told : “Brereton with the ball at his feet is an extraordinary talent.
“He’s a wonderful footballer who can dribble with both feet, take people out of the game.”
Brereton Diaz hit the ground running this season too, with two goals and an assist in his first three games.
He is also an established Chile international, having played at the Copa America, and has four goals from 14 outings.
