Everton are now on the verge of signing James Garner from Manchester United and Idrissa Gueye from Paris Saint-Germain, claims Fabrizio Romano.

The Toffees went into the window looking to strengthen their midfield. They’ve already signed an incredible player in Amadou Onana, and it looks like they’re about to bring in two more.

Fabrizio Romano says Everton are about to sign James Garner and Idrissa Gueye

Everton have been linked with a move for both Garner and Gueye for a while now.

A move for the PSG man has looked imminent for a few days, and Romano has revealed that the two clubs have exchanged papers and a move is set to go through imminently.

Garner, on the other hand, was a wanted man. The Manchester United youngster was linked to a whole host of clubs, but it looks like Frank Lampard has convinced him to move to Goodison Park.

The Red Devils, however, have inserted a buy-back clause in the deal.

: “Everton are set to sign James Garner and Idrissa Gueye, here we go and confirmed. Contracts are finally being exchanged with PSG.

“Garner will cost around £15m with add-ons included — Man United will also have buy-back clause in the deal.

TBR View:

If these two deals go through as expected, Everton deserve immense credit.

Onana is definitely their best signing of the window in midfield, but to add an experienced campaigner like Gueye and a huge prospect like Garner is a really smart move by the Toffees.

Lampard was one of the best midfielders in the history of the game, and he’ll know exactly how to get the best out of all three of his new signings in the middle of the park.

Everton are yet to win a game this season, but with Garner and Gueye set to come in, we expect that to change very soon.
