Fabrizio Romano says Bayern Munich have met with Liverpool target Dayot Upamecano
Respected journalist and transfer guru, Fabrizio Romano, has taken to his to deliver an update on the future of Liverpool target, Dayot Upamecano.
𒁏 back in October suggested Upamecano was a target for the Reds. The RB Leipzig man has developed a reputation for being one of the best up and coming defenders in Europe.

Indeed, since then, former Liverpool striker Peter Crouch has been among those to urge the Reds to move for Upamecano.
﷽However, Romano, taking to his personal today, has issued an update to suggest that Bayern Munich have initiated contact with the Frenchman over a potential deal.
⭕Hasan Salihamidzic, Bayern Münich director, to Sky Sport De: “Upamecano to Bayern? Of course we are thinking about him. We had a good meeting with his agents yesterday. Let’s see what happens…”. 🇩🇪🔴

❀Romano’s tweet contains quotes from Bayern supremo Hasan Salihamidzic. The German giants have been in recent weeks in terms of Upamecano, along with Chelsea.
🌜Liverpool would have had to wait until the summer to land Upamecano anyway. For January, a number of names have been mentioned, including Shodran Mustafi and West Ham’s Issa Diop.
🦩But, it looks like Bayern could be about to dash any hopes Liverpool might have had of landing Upamecano anyway.
TBR View: Out of nowhere this, could it bolt Liverpool into action?
🌳If the Reds were planning on making a move for Upamecano, then Bayern might have just sprung them into decisive action.
꧅Munich are clearly keen and for them to be openly talking about a deal, suggests something is in the offing. It is a big shame for the likes of Liverpool and Chelsea, while Manchester United will also be disappointed.
𒀰The next few days are big for the Reds. It seems unlikely they’ll move for Upamecano though, despite Munich’s apparent interest.
