Fabrizio Romano says Aston Villa have made contract proposal to ‘assist machine’
Aston Villa are currently the subject of intense transfer speculation both in terms of incomings and outgoings.
Over the past 24 hours or so, there have been numerous reports suggesting the Villans are in talks over selling one of their key players.
As part of the negotiations, Villa could get their hands on two players as well as cash from the club they’re in talks with.
Villans midfielder Douglas Luiz appears to be closing in on a move to Juventus, and discussions seem to be progressing quickly.
The deal could see Juve duo Samuel Iling-Junior and Weston McKennie heading the other way, with Villa also receiving around €20million (£18million).

Fabrizio Romano has now provided an update, claiming on that “Juventus and Aston Villa keep advancing on swap deal after positive talks again tonight.
“Club to club agreement at final stages. Juve are close to reaching an agreement on personal terms with Douglas Luiz.”
Romano then concluded by saying Villa have “made contract proposal to McKennie and Samuel Iling Jr.”
What can Samuel Iling-Junior and Weston McKennie bring to Aston Villa?
Although it’ll be sad to see Luiz go, Villa look set to be signing two very talented players from Juve.

Indeed, the deemed the Englishman “one of the most promising young footballers of his generation”. He has also been deemed an ‘‘.
Meanwhile, McKennie will be eager to prove himself in the Premier League after a difficult stint at Leeds United in 2022/23.
United States football legend Alexi Lalas, who has watched a lot of the 25-year-old over the years, lauded his compatriot back in 2020.
He said in an interview with : “He (McKennie) could be a new Gattuso, who (ex-Juve boss Andrea Pirlo) played with the original and knows how important it was for the balance of that Milan.

“Beauty and the beast both serve to win. And McKennie, as well as a conqueror of balls, also has excellent skills in the construction of the game and with his head he is always dangerous on inactive balls.”
