Fabrizio Romano says £26m Arsenal midfield target has now changed agents
Arsenal have been linked with Shakhtar Donetsk’s Georgiy Sudakov in recent weeks.
reported in October that the Gunners are the leading Premier League club in pursuit of the Ukraine international midfielder.
However, Arsenal are far from alone in their pursuit of Sudakov. Manchester City, Chelsea and Brighton are apparently also keeping tabs on the 21-year-old.
Now, Fabrizio Romano has taken to with an update which seemingly bodes well in terms of Arsenal – and other suitors – and Sudakov.
“Understand Ukrainian top talent Georgiy Sudakov has signed with ProStar agency as new representatives,” wrote Romano.
“Many top European clubs have sent their scouts to monitor Sudakov, including Juventus. Shakhtar values him at high price as new gem after Mudryk.”
Arsenal could do with bolstering their midfield ranks in the January transfer window.
Thomas Partey’s fitness and injury issues are sadly persisting, while the jury remains out on Fabio Vieira.
Sudakov has been deemed ‘one of the game’s most exciting emerging talents’ and would be a great shout for Arsenal.
His former coach, Fernando Valente, previously said on social media, via AS: “Georgiy Sudakov is the greatest talent I’ve ever coached.
“Sudakov has enormous potential. He could play for Barcelona or Manchester City.
“He’s the best talent I’ve trained and I had one of the strongest connections I’ve had with him.”

At just 21, there is so much scope for Sudakov to improve further as well.
Better still, Arsenal may not even have to pay that much for the Ukraine international.
previously reported that Shakhtar value their player at €25-30million (£21.5-26million).
When a player changes agency, it’s usually seen as a sign of the player’s ambition, and there’s a good change that a big career move is the intention.
This is certainly an exciting transfer lead. Let’s see whether Arsenal firm up their interest in the coming months.
