Fabrizio Romano rules Hansi Flick out of running for Spurs job
According to respected journalist and transfer guru, , Spurs have missed out on former Bayern Munich boss, Hansi Flick.
Flick is said to be one of the names high up on the list of Daniel Levy, as he seeks a replacement for Jose Mourinho. Along with Brendan Rodgers, Erik Ten Hag, and Max Allegri, Flick is one of a number of high-profile names being linked.
However, Romano has that Flick is fully committed to seeing through a verbal agreement he has with the German national team. And unfortunately for Spurs fans, that means another manager slipping by the wayside.
Nuno Espirito Santo is not a candidate for Tottenham job, Spurs are looking for a different kind of manager. ⚪️
Hansi Flick has been contacted by many clubs but he’s intentioned to join German national team – he wants to honor his verbal agreement reached since April. 🇩🇪

Flick was hugely successful with Bayern Munich, winning everything he could with the German giants. He has since left his role, however, with Julian Nagelsmann taking over from him.
Spurs, on the other hand, are desperate to get this next appointment right. However, it could be any new manager won’t have Harry Kane at his disposal. The England skipper is apparently open to leaving, with a big-money move to Manchester City one of the options.
TBR View: Spurs were never getting Flick, let’s be honest
It was always more of a pipe dream this one, wasn’t it? Flick was always going to take over with Germany, otherwise why would he have left such a role with Bayern?
Obviously, Levy can sometimes pull rabbits out of hats but this one just seemed a bit of a step too far. Flick is a world-class coach who’d have got Spurs fans interested.
But, like so many times in the last few weeks, it’s time to move on.
