Fabrizio Romano has update about Maurizio Sarri after he’s linked with the Everton job
Everton finally got off the mark on the weekend with a point in their trip to Leicester City as they allowed a lead to slip again.
The pressure on Sean Dyche will be high amongst the fans following what has been a desperate start to the 2024/25 campaign.
Everton remain rock bottom of the Premier League table with their five games having returned a mere point on top of their Carabao Cup exit.
Questions will be being asked at Goodison Park as to whether Dyche is the man to take Everton forward this season following a dismal start to the campaign.
And already, there are names being linked with replacing Dyche at Everton and Fabrizio Romano has now discussed one, in particular.

Fabrizio Romano shares Maurizio Sarri claim at Everton
Next up for Everton is a game at home against Crystal Palace as they will be looking to break the Goodison duck this season.
TBR Football understands Farhad Moshiri has given Dyche until the upcoming international break to turn things around at Everton.
However, that may come under scrutiny sooner rather than later with Everton’s proposed takeover taking a major boost over the weekend.
According to Fabrizio Romano, former Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri is not a name who will be succeeding Dyche on Merseyside.
“Despite being out of work for 18 months, Maurizio Sarri remains a fantastic manager,” romano said in his .
“I’m sure he’s keeping himself updated, always on point, always active. He’s not kind of manager who leaves it all when he’s not working.
“About Everton, I’ve no confirmation of that story so far. No approaches, no talks.”
Everton may be left with Sean Dyche decision this weekend
This weekend will mark Everton’s sixth Premier League game of the new season and their third at home.
Despite approaching October in the coming days, the Toffees are still in search of their first victory over the league season.
The Blues have some favourable fixtures coming up over the coming weeks with Ipswich Town and Southampton to play but they were also unable to beat Leicester last weekend.
With this in mind, these fixtures could be seen as the chance for Dyche to turn things around at Goodison.
Alternatively, they could be viewed as the perfect opportunity for a new manager to come in and make a winning start on Merseyside.
