Tottenham Hotspur star Cristian Romero🧸 started for Argentina in their goalless draw against Brazil at the Estadio San Juan del Bicentenario last night.

ಌBrazil had already qualified for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. The pressure was on Argentina to get a result, but Lionel Messi’s side could only manage a 0-0 draw.

ꦓThankfully for them, that was enough to hand them the tickets for Qatar 2022.

✤Romero joined Spurs for a mammoth £42 million in the summer (). He has played 12 games in all competitions so far and he is proving to be a really good signing for Tottenham.

♚Under a manager like Antonio Conte, Romero could turn into one of the best defenders in the country.

ꦉTottenham fans have been really excited to see the Argentine develop under Conte, but this injury could increase the wait.

▨Fabrizio Romano that Romero is indeed injured. Medical tests were expected to happen just a few hours after the game, but the results of those examinations have not been released just yet.

ꦜ“Bad news for Tottenham and Antonio Conte. Cristian ‘Cuti’ Romero goes off injured in Argentina-Brazil clash – and it looks like a left thigh injury. Medical tests in the next hours will clarify on his problem,” Romano last night.
