Fabrizio Romano has just shared fresh update on Jakub Kiwior as Arsenal near Riccardo Calafiori signing

Arsenal are moving closer to the signing of Riccardo Calafiori and Jakub Kiwior is likely to be directly impacted by the deal.

The Gunners are moving at pace to try and get a deal over the line for Calafiori and reports all weekend have suggested a deal is getting closer.

Indeed, it was reported earlier today how Arsenal are planning to get the deal done by the end of the week, while it’s also been claimed that Bologna are looking for massive money.

Either way, it does seem like Calafiori will be an Arsenal player and naturally, that impacts current squad members.

One of those players being impact is Polish defender Jakub Kiwior.

And according to Fabrizio Romano, Kiwior is a player of interest to teams over in Italy should Calafiori complete his move.

Jakub Kiwior could leave Arsenal on loan with Calafiori deal now close

to provide an update on the situation, Romano has once again said that the deal for Calafiori is approaching completion.

And specifically related to Kiwior, Romano has said that a loan deal is now possible, with Serie A sides keen to snap up the Poland defender.

Kiwior only actually arrived at Arsenal in the January of 2023 for a fee of around but has struggled to have an impact on the club.

With Jurrien Timber returning from injury and now the signing of Calafiori, Kiwior is going to find himself even further down the pecking order at The Emirates.

Mikel Arteta is determined to go one better next season and finally overhaul Man City in the title race.

Last summer saw Arteta backed to the tune of more than £200m as he signed the likes of Declan Rice and Kai Havertz.

Arsenal are not expected to spend quite as much this summer but if the likes of Kiwior and others are sold, then money could be available to strengthen again.
