Tottenham Hotspur are still in the mix with Barcelona to sign young Swedish midfielder Lucas Bergvall before the window shuts.
While there is no immediate rush to get the deal done before 11pm tonight as he can be registered after and come in next season, Spurs are keen to get the deal over the line.
Bergvall is believed to have been shown around both Barcelona and Tottenham and is now left with a decision to make on his future.
And according to speaking on his channel, the midfielder is being told to do different things by different family members.
“At the moment it’s 50/50. One part of the family is pushing for him to join Barcelona and the other to join Tottenham in the Premier League.”
Tottenham still hopeful on Lucas Bergvall deal
Clearly, there is some difference of opinion being thrown the way of young Bergvall here as he looks to seal what will be a dream move really.
Both Tottenham and Barca are massive steps for him and it will be interesting to see just which way he decides to go with this one.
Tottenham must fancy themselves as being in with a real shout here, especially if they are still in the mix when he’s been and seen Barcelona already.
It was reported earlier today that Dejan Kulusevski was helping with the deal in a way and that might well be a deciding factor.
If Tottenham do beat the Spanish side to this one, it will feel like a huge coup for the club.
