Fabrizio Romano has just issued fresh Alessandro Bastoni update amid Tottenham links
Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with Alessandro Bastoni in recent weeks.
Spurs are currently looking to bolster their defensive ranks further ahead of their Champions League return.
Bastoni is a player Tottenham boss Antonio Conte knows well and rates very highly.

Indeed, Conte has reportedly been asking about the 23-year-old every day this summer.
However, Tottenham have just been dealt a huge blow in pursuit of the defender.
On Wednesday afternoon, Bastoni’s agent Tullio Tinti met with the Inter board.
The Spurs target was the subject of discussion between the agent and the club hierarchy.
Afterwards, Tinti spoke to the press, confirming that “Bastoni will stay at Inter for sure.
“He has a contract and he’s happy with Inter – there’s no problem.”
Romano shared the bad news for Tottenham fans on his Twitter feed:
Obviously, this may not necessarily be the end of the transfer saga.
There could well be more twists and turns, with the summer transfer window in its early stages.
But it’s safe to assume that Tottenham will probably cool their interest in Bastoni now.
Earlier on Wednesday, Romano claimed Spurs were also in talks over Pau Torres.
Spurs have done well so far in the window, bringing in Ivan Perisic and Fraser Forster.
However, both players were out of contract and joined Tottenham for free.
When it comes to contracted, highly sought-after players, things are a bit more difficult.
Nonetheless, Spurs fans can trust Conte and Fabio Paratici, who struck gold in January and will no doubt do so again.
