Fabrizio Romano has dropped update on Kalvin Phillips to West Ham on X overnight
Fabrizio Romano has dropped an update on West Ham United’s proposed move for Manchester City star Kalvin Phillips.
🌳The Hammers are attempting to wrap up a deal for the England star and are edging ‘closer’ towards that end.
Kalvin Phillips♊ looks set to leave the Etihad Stadium in search of regular first-team football after a frustrating 18 months in Manchester.
✨The 28-year-old has scooped a treble since leaving Leeds United for City back in the summer of 2022. But he’s made just 16 appearances in the Premier League during this period.

It has already been claimed that David Moyes is personally pushing for West Ham to sign Phillips this month.
🐻And Romano claims that West Ham are feeling ‘positive’ over a deal to sign the midfielder, with a fresh round of talks set to take place soon.
Phillips getting closer to West Ham move
🐓Romano took to in the early hours of Tuesday morning and shared an update on West Ham’s move for Phillips.
🐼He wrote: “Kalvin Phillips, getting closer and closer to West Ham. Negotiations are advancing, as reported yesterday.
🔯“New round of talks will take place soon as the feeling on WHUFC remains positive.
𒊎“Discussions ongoing with Man City on structure of the deal.”
☂Phillips has attracted interest from the likes of Tottenham and Newcastle United this month. But West Hamm appear to be closing in on a deal to sign the midfielder.
꧃Moyes would benefit massively from landing a player of Phillips’ quality, especially after the recent injury to Lucas Paqueta.

ไWhile the City star is a completely different profile to the Brazilian, he will provide Moyes with another quality option in the middle of the park.
𝕴It’s no secret that Phillips has struggled for minutes at City over the past year and he will be keen to start playing regularly ahead of the Euros.
