Fabrizio Romano drops new Armando Broja update ahead of transfer deadline

Chelsea and Fulham are edging ever closer to getting the Armando Broja loan deal over the line.

With just a few hours left before the January transfer window slams shut, the Blues and the Cottagers are busy making sure the player swaps one west London club for another.

A few hours ago, Fabrizio Romano “here we go” on Broja to Fulham, saying agreement had been reached for the Chelsea forward to join the Cottagers until the summer.

The 22-year-old would be heading across the A304 for a £4million loan fee, added the transfer insider.

Then, Romano reported that Broja was undergoing his medical at Motspur Park, and then his latest update, as of 7:38pm, referred to the paperwork.

“Fulham and Chelsea are preparing documents for Armando Broja deal to be signed tonight,” the Italian wrote on .

Fulham edging closer to signing Armando Broja on loan from Chelsea

It looks as though Broja to Fulham is on the right track and on course to get over the line, as per Romano’s latest 14-word update on social media.

Once the documentation is signed and the medical is passed, then the next step should be the official announcements.

Obviously there’s no guarantees when it comes to any transfer, even when it’s at such an advanced stage.

But should everything go according to plan, it looks as though Broja will be playing in white rather than in blue for the rest of the season.

It’s good news for Fulham, who get themselves a quality forward for the rest of the season, and for the Albania international, who’ll be able to get much more game time and potentially put himself in the shop window.

As for Chelsea, they get a loan fee and wages off their list. Miguel Delaney reported a few hours ago that the basic fee is £750,000, with wages taking package up to £4m.

However, the flat fee may be affected dependent on number of games played, the Independent chief football writer claimed on .

Chelsea also had to lower their demands after initially asking for a £50million obligation to buy, as reported by earlier on transfer deadline day.

If Broja does well, then it increases the likelihood of Fulham or any other suitors potentially opting to sign him permanently in the summer transfer window.
