Fabrizio Romano confirms Arsenal have lost out to Roma in Tammy Abraham race
Arsenal have lost out in the race to sign Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham, with the forward agreeing to a £34m deal to sign for Roma.
The striker has been one of the names mentioned for the Gunners on what seems a long list of transfer targets this summer. Having dropped down the pecking order in North London, Abraham has been given permission to seek a move if he can.

But while Arsenal were hoping to land Abraham for around £40m this summer, Roma have now pipped them to the post it seems.
Respected journalist account this evening. Romano confirming an agreement with Roma had been reached, and Abraham will now fly out to Italy to complete his move.
It represents another body blow for Arsenal, Mikel Arteta, and Edu Gaspar in what has been a summer of frustration for them.
Despite plans to overhaul the squad, the Gunners have been unable to move players on. They’ve also only signed three players, with Ben White the headline act there.
Arsenal’s miserable week continues
Just when things can’t get much worse for Arsenal, they miss out on a player who would have been so good for them. And to Jose Mourinho as well.
It’s a worrying trend for the club at the moment. They keep coming up with targets, the missing out due to money or other reasons.
Abraham will be a roaring success in Rome. Arsenal, meanwhile, are back to the drawing board and face a huge couple of weeks.
