Fabrizio Romano claims title-winning club is working to loan out Wolves target
Wolverhampton Wanderers have been linked with Hugo Ekitike in recent weeks.
Earlier this month, Wolves were named by as suitors for the Paris Saint-Germain forward.
Now, Fabrizio Romano has shared an update that bodes well for the Molineux outfit if they want to push for Ekitike.
Romano took to on Tuesday afternoon to claim that PSG are “actively working to loan out” Ekitike in the last 48 hours of the January transfer window.
The transfer insider added that contacts are “taking place today to find the best solution” for the French forward.
Wolves are reportedly in search of a new striker and have been linked with a number of forwards over the past few weeks.
However, Gary O’Neil recently admitted, as per the , that Wolves are having to be cautious in the market due to FFP restrictions.

With Ekitike available on loan, it should make things easier for the Molineux outfit if they want to bolster their ranks on a budget, depending on how much they can spare on his wages.
His salary, according to , is around €6-7million gross a year. The top end of that works out at around £6million a year, which is just under £116,000 a week.
This would make him the highest-paid Wolves player, according to , who list Pablo Sarabia – at £110,000-a-week – as the current highest-paid footballer at Molineux.
