Liverpool had opened to sign Calhanoglu while However, Romano claims both have missed out in pursuit of the playmaker – with Inter set to land the Turkish star.
Calhanoglu would have been excellent for Liverpool and Arsenal
But instead, the midfielder is making a shock move to Inter. It is a suprise given the rivalry between the two sides, but saying that, the likes of Ronaldo, Zlatan Ibrahimovic have done so. On a free, he will be a brilliant signing for Inter. Surely, Premier League clubs should have worked harder.
The Turkish ace is one of the hottest properties on the market given his contract situation. He would have sparkled in English football. Instead, Premier League clubs will be left to rue their decision not to sign Calhanoglu – for nothing.
