Fabinho’s impressive stats for Liverpool in win over Aston Villa

Liverpool made it seven wins in a row on Saturday as they defeated Aston Villa 1-0 at Anfield.

The Reds are flying high right now, although they did have to work hard against Steven Gerrard’s side.

Villa sought to frustrate Liverpool, but Jurgen Klopp’s charges broke their resistance midway through the second half.

Tyrone Mings bundled Mohamed Salah to the ground, prompting the referee to award a penalty.

The Egypt international stepped up and duly beat Emi Martinez from the spot in the 67th minute.

Liverpool’s midfield was once again impressive throughout, and Fabinho was especially superb.

The 28-year-old was a colossus in front of the back four, thwarting anything that threatened to breach their defence.

He tidied things up, blocked runs, won tackles, distributed the ball well, and covered every blade of grass to stop any danger.

He boasted 91.1 percent passing accuracy, five aerials won, two key passes, three tackles, two interceptions, four clearances and one block.

Fabinho, alongside the equally superb Thiago Alcantara, are nothing short of incredible together.

They are just the type of player that help clubs win trophies – and Liverpool are looking great value for more silverware this term.
