FA Cup: Fifth Round Team of the Weekend feat. Tottenham and Lincoln City stars

Right-Centre-Midfield: Henrikh Mkhitaryan (Manchester United)

A composed and classy performance once again from the Armenian as Manchechester United fought back to deny Blackburn an FA Cup scalp at Ewood Park. The former Borussia Dortmund man was energetic and lively throughout, but his game was summed up with his quite stunning assist for Marcus Rashford, getting in the way of a pass in midfield before playing a wonderful pass through to Rashford, which completely by-passed the hosts’ defence and left the youngster with the freedom of Lancashire to score.

Centre-Midfield: Philip Billing (Huddersfield Town)

Manchester City had more than a physical presence in midfield at the John Smith’s Stadium, but 20-year-old Billing provided David Wagner’s Terriers with some counter-thrust of their own. His battling display against Fernandinho, Fernando and Fabian Delph in the centre of the park was a joy to watch, and it came from a player who has been in and out of the side as the Yorkshire club challenge for promotion in the Championship.

Left-Centre-Midfield: Toni Martinez (Oxford United)

The West Ham loanee has looked right at home in the FA Cup, netting his second goal in as many games at Middlesbrough to crown a quite remarkable comeback having netted against Newcastle United in Round Four.

Highly-rated in the West Ham U-23 setup, Martinez showed a razor-sharp instinct at the Riverside, constantly looking to come inside and wreak havoc on the ‘Boro defence and enjoying more shots on target than any other player on the day. A real shame that Stuani’s late winner for the hosts saw the U’s exit the competition.
