‘Extraordinary’ Arsenal player set to join London rivals after deal agreed

Arsenal have been fairly quiet in the transfer window thus far, with just one signing – for the youth team – over the line.

The Gunners are reportedly set to sign Italy defender Riccardo Calafiori, though it hasn’t been officially confirmed as of yet.

In terms of official signings, Arsenal have signed England youth goalkeeper Tommy Setford from Ajax for their academy.

The Gunners have been a bit busier on the outgoings front, with Albert Sambi Lokonga and Nuno Tavares both leaving on initial loan deals.

Now, according to a report from France, another Arsenal first-teamer is now closing in on a move away from the Emirates Stadium.

Emile Smith Rowe set to swap Arsenal for Fulham

The player in question is Emile Smith Rowe, who has found game time hard to come by at Arsenal in recent years.

According to Sports Zone, the Hale End graduate is now set to join Fulham this summer.

He has reportedly accepted personal terms with the Cottagers, who have also agreed a deal with Arsenal.

The deal is now at the final details and then it will be over the line, claimed the report on X.

Smith Rowe set to get career back on track at London rivals

It’s a real shame with regards to how things have panned out for Smith Rowe at Arsenal.

When he made his breakthrough, many were confident he’d be the next Hale End graduate after Bukayo Saka to become a star for club and country.

However, Smith Rowe has sadly struggled with injuries in recent years, which have hampered his progress and restricted his game time at Arsenal.

He seems to have fallen behind at a Gunners outfit where standards are growing increasingly high as the club grows in stature once again.

That said, Smith Rowe is an “extraordinary” player – as Mikel Arteta once said – and it’ll be good to see him get his career back on track in the Premier League where he belongs.
