Rangers are on the brink of signing Premier League duo Jermain Defoe and Steven Davis.
News broke on Thursday that Steven Gerrard was close to securing an 18-month loan deal for Bournemouth man Defoe, in what could be a huge signing for the Gers.
The veteran has been unable to force his way into Eddie Howe’s starting XI this term due to the form of Callum Wilson and Josh King.

Defoe is to link up with old England teammate Gerrard, and will provide cover and competition for Alfredo Morelos.
Davis is also set to join the Light Blues , after struggling to start games at Southampton.
The Northern Ireland international is set for a new challenge, by returning to an old stomping ground in the form of Ibrox.
Have Rangers just tipped the balance in their favour?
Gerrard is pulling out all the stops to allow Rangers to go toe-to-toe with Celtic for the Premiership title.
Defoe and Davis signing for the Light Blues could seriously really help them in their pursuit of title number league title number 55.
The pair have a combined age of 70, and bring a host of top-flight – specifically Premier League – experience to the table.

Defoe will surely have a positive effect on Morelos, and Davis would be a strong presence in midfield with his passing range and leadership qualities.
It could be a close run thing, but the duo could genuinely help see Rangers edge bitter rivals Celtic come May.
