Exclusive: Southampton want to sign Chelsea striker who has ‘amazing potential
- Exclusive with Graeme Bailey
TBR understands that newly-promoted Southampton are considering a move to bring Armanda Broja back to the club.
Broja, of course, spent the 2021/22 season at St Mary’s enjoying a successful spell on the south coast.
Sadly, injuries have since affected Broja’s development, and now, a permanent move away from Chelsea could be on the cards.

Southampton want Armando Broja back
Chelsea are keen to move the Albanian on as his sale will be a huge help in terms of Profit and Sustainability rules.
Broja spent the second-half of last season on loan at Fulham, but that went didn’t go to plan.
Indeed, the rise of Rodrigo Muniz at Craven Cottage meant that Broja spent most of his time on the bench, and his value took a serious hit.
Chelsea previously had hoped to get close to £50million, but now they are going to have to take less than half that amount.
Broja is understood to be keen on possibly moving back to Southampton where he enjoyed a previous loan spell.
Other clubs in for Armando Broja
TBR understands that Wolves have also expressed an interest, as have Everton – but that would be to replace Dominic Calvert-Lewin if he were to be sold.
Chelsea are also talking to the Saudi Pro League about a number of their squad and Broja is one player who could move to the middle east.
Southampton are in need of a striker with Che Adams set to leave this summer once his contract expires, and a return to the south coast for Broja could be best for all parties.
Broja played his best football at Southampton, while the fans are still big fans of Broja due to his contributions during that initial loan spell.
, perhaps Broja could finally reach his ceiling with a permanent move to Southampton.
