‘Exclusive detail’… Fabrizio Romano says £20m Tottenham man has agreed to leave on loan this month
Following news of Tottenham Hotspur making a key breakthrough with the signing of Radu Dragusin, Fabrizio Romano has provided a further update.
Spurs faced strong late competition from Bayern Munich to sign Dragusin, however, it now seems a deal is swinging in their favour.

took to X this morning to confirm that Tottenham have now sent an official proposal to Genoa for Dragusin – something Bayern haven’t.
And as part of his update, Romano confirmed that Spurs will be sending a player on loan to Genoa as a makeweight.
Djed Spence has struggled to impress multiple Tottenham managers and given he returned from his Leeds United loan this month, he will now head to Genoa as part of the deal.
The move will see the defender head on his third loan since joining Spurs back in 2022.
And Fabrizio Romano claimed the exclusive on the intriguing update.
He said: “Tottenham official proposal for Radu Dragusin has been sent to Genoa, as expected.
“€25m fixed fee, €5m add-ons.
“New exclusive detail: Djed Spence on loan to Genoa from Tottenham.
“All parties are working to get the deal done and sealed now as Bayern have not sent bid yet.”
Fabrizio Romano says Tottenham’s Djed Spence will head to Genoa as part of Radu Dragusin deal
It’ll certainly be interesting to see how the coming months and years unfold for Spence, who seems to be crying out for some consistency.
Spence has a contract with Tottenham until 2027, and it’s not impossible to think the 23-year-old could still have a future with the side.

A loan deal to Genoa does look a very smart solution for all parties right now – especially if it helps push forward a move for Dragusin.
Ange Postecoglou is surely desperate for a new centre-back to arrive as soon as possible, even if Micky van de Ven is stepping up his fitness.
Tottenham’s project under Postecoglou is showing so much promise, and a double January boost in the way of Timo Werner and Dragusin could really encourage future success.
That being said, Romano’s update on Dragusin’s deal to Tottenham could bode well for more than one reason this month.
