Exciting potential attack of Rondon, Almiron and Adams could transform Newcastle into a top-half team

Newcastle United have entered the race for Birmingham City hotshot Che Adams, according to the latest reports.

The hunt for Adams is stepping up as Tottenham Hotspur, Newcastle, Everton, Bournemouth and Crystal Palace send scouts to watching him in action, .

Monday’s rumours linked Manchester United, Arsenal and Celtic with Adams, while Southampton were always keen ().

It seems that most of the top flight are chasing the 22-year-old striker, who has bagged 19 goals for Birmingham this season.

Adams seems ready to make the step up from the Championship to the Premier League and Newcastle would be a suitable home for him.

Newcastle showed some ambition to bring in Miguel Almiron in January and they must back that up by adding to their attack.

Adams could work perfectly in a front three with Almiron and Salomon Rondon, who is on loan from West Brom but would be a shrewd permanent signing.

And a front three of Adams, Almiron and Rondon is an exciting prospect and a deadly attack which could lift Newcastle into the top half of the Premier League.

Using Rondon’s physical presence as a central point, Adams’ pace and eye for goal and Almiron’s creative spark, Newcastle would have an attack that could be the envy of teams outside the top six.

Bringing Adams in would be a statement of intent, showing Newcastle are on the rise again.
