‘Exceptional’ Tottenham player has just agreed to join another club, Ange Postecoglou is happy to sell him

Tottenham Hotspur could soon see another first-team star head out the door as Ange Postecoglou continues to re-shape his squad.

Joe Rodon became the sixth player to secure a move away from Spurs on Tuesday as he rejoined Leeds United on a permanent basis.

It came after Japhet Tanganga, Eric Dier, Ivan Perisic, Tanguy Ndombele and Eric Dier had already departed on free transfers last month.

Ange Postecoglou called for ‘’ during a difficult run towards the end of last season and it’s fair to say the Aussie is getting his wish so far.

Spurs’ work is far from complete though, with a host of first-team players still aiming to secure a move away from the club this summer.

And according to , one Tottenham player has agreed to join a Serie A club on a five-year deal.

Emerson Royal agrees terms with AC Milan

The Italian outlet claims that contacts between Emerson Royal and AC Milan have reached the desired outcome.

Royal has agreed to a five-year contract with the Rossoneri, with his salary worth around £2.5 million per season.

However, Milan still need to reach an agreement with Spurs over a ‘fair’ fee for the Brazilian.

It’s claimed that Tottenham are looking for a fee worth around £21 million to offload Royal, while Milan value the full-back at £12.7 million.

Yet, there is optimism that a deal can be struck as Royal prefers a switch to the San Siro and Postecoglou is happy to offload the defender.

Archie Gray arrival could clear path for Royal exit

Spurs officially announced the signing of Archie Gray from Leeds United on Tuesday and that could be good news for Royal.

The ‘exceptional’ full-back is evidently clear on a switch to Milan and even recently admitted his pride in their interest.

While Spurs view Gray primarily as a midfielder, the youngster racked up 30 appearances at right-back last season and could provide excellent cover for Pedro Porro.

Tottenham may yet be more inclined to negotiate a lower fee for Royal after Gray’s arrival. With that being said, Spurs chairman Daniel Levy isn’t exactly known for his leniency during negotiations.
