“Excellent”, “Played brilliantly” – These West Brom fans discuss Zohore’s performance
A late Kenneth Zohore penalty salvaged a 1-1 draw for West Bromwich Albion against Derby County on Saturday. The result ensured that the Baggies maintained their unbeaten start to the Championship campaign. It also marked the second time in as many matches that Zohore has stepped up to score a late penalty.
The goals, albeit coming from the spot, have been vital for Slaven Bilic’s side and will have boosted the 25-year-old striker’s confidence. There is plenty of pressure on the forward to deliver this season, following his summer arrival from Cardiff City. West Brom will be targeting automatic promotion this season and will be relying on Zohore to fire them to that objective.
He has certainly already had an impact. However, there is still plenty more to come from the target man. At times he hasn’t looked quite on the same wavelength as his teammates. He also needs to become more clinical from open play. West Brom will need more than penalty conversions from their No. 9. The confidence boost that will come from his spot kicks will hopefully help him to improve in these areas though.

On top of that, Bilic’s side need to be doing more to help Zohore in open play. The striker isn’t getting enough of the kind of service that suits his physical traits.
After the match, plenty of West Brom fans took to Twitter to discuss Zohore’s performance.
Zohore is a Penalty King , Boing Boing! Thanks Ref ;)

Trains are bedlam in Derby, but soaking up the rays with a pint of Thatchers while the chaos sorts itself out.
Johnstone was MOTM imo after a difficult week, he was magnificent but a big shout out to Zohore also who was excellent & lead the line brilliantly today

played brilliantly Zohore, good to get another goal

I’d love to see Zohore fill his boots this season and silence the extremely premature haters. At times today he was working hard but had nobody around him. He needs to be more clinical with his chances but he’s forcing saves at least. The goals will come

Zohore excellent too and composed again to take the penalty

Good point away to Derby. Zohore helps us nick a point again. Makes up for the early chance he missed, nice penalty taker. Johnstone deserves praise for keeping us in the game with key saves. We just need to be more clinical in front of goal, onto the next one!
