‘Excellent’ Arsenal player could be back for Porto clash tonight, he trained yesterday
Takehiro Tomiyasu could return to the Arsenal squad for their crunch clash in the Champions League against Porto tonight.
The 25-year-old is yet to feature since returning from🔜 the Asian Cup in February due to a calf injury.
Mikel Arteta’s men have fared well in Takehiro Tomiyasu’s absence, with Jakub Kiwior stepping up and putting in some exceptional displa𒊎ys at left-back.

Kiwior is also currently keeping Oleksandr Zinchenko out of the side after the Ukrainian returned to action against Brentford on Satur🍨day💞.
And afte𝕴r the return of Zinchenko, Arteta could also be boosted by Tomiyasu’s availability against Porto tonight.
Tomiyasu could be back for Porto clash
reports that Tomiyasu c🔯ould be part of Arsenal’s squad as they bid to reco🐭ver from a 1-0 deficit in tonight’s second leg.
The Japanese defender was involved in yesterday’s training se🌠s൲sion ahead of the game at the Emirates Stadium.
It’s fair to say that A🧸rteta has 🍨been short of options at full-back in recent weeks.
Both Zinchenko and Tomiyasu have been sidelined. But with Zi🧸nchenko getting 11 minutes under his belt against Brentford and Tomiyasu seemingly closing in on a return, Arteta will once again be well-stocked in the positions.
Due to Kiwior’s exceptional displays in recent weeks, it 🐓feels unlikely that Tomiyasu will be rushed back into action.
But having the ‘excellent’ defender back in the sq⛄uad would be a welcome boost for Arteta ahead of the business end of the campaign.
Tomiyasu wa🌳s enjoying a run in the side before picꦏking up a calf injury ahead of the Asian Cup.

The Gunners will be bidding to come back from 1-0 down tonight and will need to be at their very best to break dow༺n a resilient Porto side.
Arsenal struggled to create clear-cut opportunities in t༒he first leg and fell to a defeat after a late Porto winner.
But we believe Arteta’s men wi🌱ll have too much for the Portuguese giants tonight, particularly at the Emirates and off the back of an exceptional run of form in the league.
