Ex-Celtic star and 2018 Leicester target Patrick Roberts would be ideal first signing for Brendan Rodgers
Leicester City have appointed Brendan Rodgers as their new manager after he left Celtic to return to the Premier League.
Rodgers will use the remainder of this season to run the rule over his playing squad and decide who he wants to keep and sell.
He will also be thinking of potential summer targets to strengthen his squad and one man would be an ideal candidate.
Leicester were keen on signing Patrick Roberts from Manchester City and Rodgers could resurrect that interest.
Roberts worked under Ronny Deila and then Rodgers at Celtic during two loan spells spanning two-and-a-half seasons in Glasgow.
, Leicester were angling for Roberts as part of the deal which saw Riyad Mahrez join Manchester City.

But Man City instead loaned the England youth international out to Girona, where he has failed to make much of an impact.
Next summer, the 22-year-old could leave Man City on a permanent deal and the chance to reunite with Rodgers will surely be tempting.
After scoring 18 goals in 79 matches for Celtic, it is clear that the ex-Fulham academy star played the best football of his career at Celtic.
Roberts could take his career to the next level by teaming up with Rodgers again and playing Premier League football at Leicester.
