‘Every time he plays, he plays better’: Bielsa blown away by one Leeds player’s display v Watford
Leeds United boss Marcelo Bielsa has waxed lyrical about Daniel James following his impressive display today.
The Whites beat Watford 1-0 at Elland Road, their first victory of the Premier League campaign after three draws and three defeats.
Diego Llorente’s goal in the 18th minute proved the difference between the two sides.

The Spaniard, back from a hamstring injury, poked home from close range after a scramble from a corner kick.
Meanwhile, James was a thorn in the Hornets’ side throughout, causing them problems with his pace and pressing.
The 23-year-old could’ve had a penalty as well after William Troost-Ekong fouled him in the area, but VAR let the visitors off.
After the game, asked Bielsa what he thought of James’ display.
“I share your analysis,” he replied. “Every time he plays, he plays better than the previous game.

“He shows resources and qualities that we know he has and he’s going to become an important, special contribution to the team.”
James joined Leeds from Manchester United in the summer for a reported £.
He has made five appearances in all competitions to date for the Whites, including three Premier League starts.
After the international break, Leeds are next in action on Saturday 16 October, with a trip to Southampton.
