‘Every single day’: Liam Cooper names Leeds teammate that works so hard in training
Liam Cooper says that Leeds United star Kalvin Phillips is someone that works flat out every single day.
Phillips, 25, is now a household name after starring for an England squad that finished runners-up at this summer’s Euro 2020 competition.
The defensive midfielder was key to Gareth Southgate’s plans, so has been receiving plenty of praise.
Leeds club captain Cooper believes that it’s the work every day in training that has lead to the success of Phillips.
“I’ve seen how hard he works every single day, I see how much he takes on and turns it into his game,” Cooper told .
“For me, he is one of the best midfielders in the world right now.”

Kalvin Phillips the MVP at Leeds, but it won’t change him
Phillips has been one of the outstanding individuals at Leeds during the last few seasons, so it’s hard to see him changing after his England success.
He’s a Leeds-born talent that loves playing at Elland Road because of his path from the academy to the seniors.
It’s clear in any game he doesn’t play for the Yorkshire giants how much they miss him.
There has been huge worry whenever he’s had injury problems in the past, but perhaps there is now the perfect understudy.
Lewis Bate, who joins this summer from Chelsea, is initially linking up with the Under-23s. However, he’s someone that will be able to learn so much from Phillips and potentially be great back-up. It won’t be a surprise if he soon links up with Marcelo Bielsa’s first-team squad.
