Every Premier League player who is just one booking away from having Boxing Day off
Nobody likes to be working on Boxing Day.
A chance to laze around, gobbling up Christmas Day leftovers and watching all sorts on TV is not something that comes around very often – to say the least – but is an even rarer event for a Premier League footballer to enjoy.
Football on Boxing Day is a tradition in England, with the first match on this day taking place way back in December 1860 when Sheffield FC and Hallam FC clashed.
However, a number of Premier League stars are set to miss out on this traditional Boxing Day match if they pick up a yellow card during this weekend’s action.
Gabriel Jesus and Darwin Nunez among many Premier League stars walking a tightrope
Arsenal No.9 Gabriel Jesus – who knocked Crystal Palace out of the Carabao Cup with three excellent goals on Wednesday – is among the more high profile names on this list, along with Liverpool No.9 Darwin Nunez.

Interestingly, Chelsea No.1 Robert Sanchez is also present – meaning Filip Jorgensen, who Joe Cole admires, could receive a taste of Boxing Day football if the Spaniard cannot behave himself against Everton on Sunday.

When Premier League yellow cards reset
Many have asked Google when the Premier League reset the rule which sees a one-match ban given for accumulating five yellow cards.

Only within the first 19 games of a Premier League season does this rule apply.
If a player is booked ten times across the first 32 Premier League games of a season, they will be suspended for two matches – yellow cards are not carried over to the Carabao Cup or FA Cup, but straight red cards in the Premier League are.
