Everton’s Neal Maupay reacts after seeing Antony’s celebrations in Manchester United vs Coventry FA Cup semi-final
Everton loanee Neal Maupay has delivered his verdict on what Antony did after Manchester United beat Coventry City in the semi-final of the FA Cup on Sunday.
The 𒊎Red Devils went into the game at Wembley as the favourites and even went 3-0 up.
It looked like a win was a formality at that point, but Erik ten Hag and his players were shocked by wh⭕at transpired from the♑ 71st minute onwards.
Coventry City, who were 3-0 down, s🍷cored two goals in the space of eight minutes through Ellis Simms and Callum O’Hare. Haji Wright then levelled the game in the fifth minute of stoppage time in what was a truly r𒈔emarkable comeback.
The Championship side won everyone’s hearts with their performance and many still feel they deserved to wi♎n the game in extra-time.
However, Manchester United won it onꦯ penalties, and what Antony did right after has angered many people.

Manchester United signed Antony from Ajax൲ in 2022 for an eye-watering £86 million ().
The Brazilian, at the time, was expected to become a star at Man🥀chester United, and his goal against Arsenal at Old Trafford put him in a really good place among the fan base.
However, Antony hasꦺ had a terrible time a꧙t Manchester United since. He has shown flashes ꦛof his quality, but he just hasn’t done enough to live ﷽up to his price tag.
What has now infuriat🐬edꦬ fans even more is his antics after Manchester United beat Coventry City on penalties at Wembley on Sunday.
After Rasmus Hojlund buried his spot-kick, Antony could be seen cupping his ears in the direction of Coventry City’s players.
That has been described as embarrassing by many in the football community, and Neal Maupay has now had his say on the incident.
The Frenchman, 🍷who is on loan at Brentford from Everton, loves to get undꦺer his opponents’ skin by doing things that make people furious.
💧However, after watching Antony’s celebrations, Maupay has claimed that even he would never do such a thing on a foo🌠tball pitch.

The Englishman then went on 🔯to claim that he would be ’embarrassed’ if one of the senior players at the club didn’t give Antony a talking-to aft♎er his actions at Wembley.
“You’d like to see him doing it and them telling him straightaway: “Oi, you d🅷on’t do that… that doesn’t happen. We’re lucky to be going through, it’s an embarrassment we’re still on this pitch”.
