Everton winger Yannick Bolasie reacts on Twitter as Middlesbrough deal falls apart
Yannick Bolasie looks set to remain at Everton until at least January after the DR Congo winger failed to complete a move to Middlesbrough on the final day of the transfer window.
Moves to the Football League were still eligible yesterday until 5 pm and Bolasie looked set to join the Riverside club.
Middlesbrough boss Neil Warnock, who worked with Bolasie at Crystal Palace, even spoke of his feelings regarding the player.

“He can be frustrating,” Warnock was “One minute he’s unbelievable and the next minute you think, ‘Is he even a footballer?’
“He’s a good lad but whether that will come off I don’t know.”
However, no deal was reached and Bolasie has moved to make it clear he was doing everything he could to reach an agreement.
Disappointed the deal couldn’t get done in time…signed & sent off, waited till 19.00 with real hope
From my end I know I was willing to give up a lot…all I wanna do is say thank you to Neil Warnock (appreciate you so much) and wish Middlesbrough all the best this season 1/2

Nothing like that at all…back room at Boro have been great & tried to get everything done we just couldn’t make the cut off…gaffers vision/belief in me is why I wanted to come
Only messaged this as I can’t have any negativity on boro end 👍🏿

Despite his obvious disappointment at failing to achieve a move, Bolasie made it clear he will remain committed to Everton and will do his best to impress before he gets a chance to move away from the club.
But now my focus is back on Everton & continuing to work hard everyday like I have been & if I’m called upon I’ll be ready to do whatever is necessary 👍🏿💙
Real ones know I speak from the heart nothing more nothing less 🔵

Of course, there are still some options available to Bolasie. The transfer windows in Russia, Qatar, and even the United States remain open.
However, with the chance of getting ahead of Richarlison, Bernard, Alex Iwobi, and Anthony Gordon in the Everton pecking order thin, it seems Bolasie will be playing his football in the Everton under-23s for the time being.
Knowing what a good professional Bolasie is, Everton fans will have no doubt the wide-man will remain committed to the club and do his utmost to impress at whatever level he plays at for the next few months.
Hopefully, that can lead to a move away in January, so the 31-year-old can get some regular playing time.
