Everton transfer target Ciro Immobile admitted his struggles under Jurgen Klopp last month
Everton have been linked with a move for Italian goal sensation Ciro Immobile this week. As Carlo Ancelotti wants the 30-year-old to add some serious goal threat to his team going forward.
It is easy to see why. Immobile has a sensational goalscoring record in Italy. The Italian international has scored 30 goals in 33 games for the capital club this season – taking his overall tally for the club to 116 goals in 167 appearances.
He was also a potent striker during his time at Torino and Pescara. However, he has struggled when moving abroad, specifically under the guidance of Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp.

The German snapped up Immobile from Torino in 2014 £15.5 million to replace the Bayern Munich bound Robert Lewandowski at Borussia Dortmund.
But Immobile struggled in the Bundesliga. He scored just three goals in 24 Bundesliga appearances before being loaned out to Sevilla the following summer.
Immobile even spoke about letting the Liverpool boss down during their time working together last month. Immobile admitted a wish that Klopp had gotten to work with the ‘real Ciro’ at Signal Iduna Park.
“We met at the wrong time in our careers at Borussia Dortmund and I wish he’d been able to work with the real Ciro. Despite that, we were still able to win the DFB-Supercup.”
Everton fans will now be hoping that they can secure the ambitious signature of Immobile and he can show Klopp the ‘real Ciro’ at Goodison Park.
