Everton target Luis Alberto reportedly offered new £60k-a-week deal, potential £87m release clause
Everton have been linked with a move for Lazio playmaker Luis Alberto this week.
in Italy. The report suggests that Carlo Ancelotti is keen, along with Juventus boss Maurizio Sarri, in the Serie A assist leader.
However, Everton look like they will have a massive task on their hands trying to get any deal over the line.
Because two new reports from Italy have suggested that Lazio are preparing to offer Alberto a new contract and have slapped a hefty price-tag on the Spaniard.
Alberto’s agent Miguel Alfaro was present at the Stadio Olimpico last month to make contact over a new deal.

Lazio are reportedly set to offer Alberto a contract lasting until 2025, valued at €3.5 million-a-year. It means Alberto will likely be earning around £60,000-a-week.
However, whilst that wage may feel manageable to Everton, his apparent asking price is perhaps on the high side. , Lazio would be asking for €80 million (£69.3m) for his services. That would comfortably make Alberto Everton’s record signing. that a potential release clause of €100 million (£87m) would be added into any new deal.
It certainly cannot be excluded that the apparent Everton and Juventus interest may be being used as a means to help push Alberto’s negotiations along at Lazio.
With such a massive asking price, Everton might be best looking elsewhere anyway.
