Kenny is keen to keep on progressing and in order to reach the very top, he wants to follow the example of legendary former Bayern Munich star, Philipp Lahm.

“He was an all-rounder, could play left, right, in the middle,” said Kenny (). “For me, he was always outstanding and the best right-back.”

Lahm – a Champions League and World Cup winner – is widely recognised as one of the greatest full-backs of all-time and has been hailed as one of the most intelligent footballers there’s been, period.

Lahm – who also won eight league titles with Bayern – is the perfect role model for Kenny, and any young full-back currently playing in the Bundesliga.

He was an absolutely superb defender, with his pure tactical intelligence making up for what he lacked in terms of physicality.

His versatility and passing were so impressive, not to mention his leadership qualities.

Everton fans should be pleased to hear their player aiming to follow a genuine footballing legend.
